October 11, 2023 : USA Health, the University of South Alabama’s academic medical center, has named Deborah Browning, MSN, RN, CENP, as the new chief executive officer of its Children’s & Women’s Hospital. Browning has been with the hospital since 2021, serving as chief nursing officer and interim administrator.
Browning has over 25 years of healthcare experience, focusing on pediatrics and women’s health. She is a certified nurse executive and a fellow of the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
“Deborah is a highly experienced and respected leader in the healthcare industry,” said Owen Bailey, chief executive officer of USA Health. “She has a proven track record of success in improving the quality and safety of care, and she is deeply committed to our mission of providing the best possible care for children and women.”
As CEO of Children’s & Women’s Hospital, Browning will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the hospital. She will also work to develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow and enhance the hospital’s services.
